I wanted to do this construction a few years ago, but between moving from TX to SC I got a house, changed jobs, got married and had a son. Not a priority. So this past Saturday, I finally got a project car! It’s a 1985 F350 diesel engine! It’s missing the rear bunk, rear wheels and gearbox, and the engine will have to be repaired / replaced, but for this area there is a little rust, I can not afford the $ 500! (A 350k mile of rusty run would sell at least 5-6 big around here, and a Cummins truck is usually 16-30 + grand.) My dream is to convert it to 6 4×4 speed, lift it all 6 “and use 35” Dick Cepeck Country Extreme or 8 inches and run 38 “Michelin XMLs and can recreate and modify 6.9 or change in Cummins. It will give you a 2-inch lift, and the dana 60 front axle and springs stock gives you another 2 inches. So you will need lift springs to climb higher. I guess you lifted the car high before? They did not do 4×4 pickups twice until 1999, when modern tasks came out. They needed a turbo to get any power, and they did not come with a turbo until the end of 1994, about half a year before the powerstroke came out. Every 6.9’s and 7.3 idi’s you see running around with turbos are mostly the next market. Works well, but they do not have the energy potential that cummins have.

If you’re stuck with an international machine, I would give up the 6-speed concept. It is nothing more than giving you an extra gear in the middle on 5 speed zf and it is not an easy switch. It will also require a 6-speed transfer case. The 5-speed is the bolt in any original Ford transfer case.

You might want to consider getting an axle from a Ford pickup later. While they will have a metric wheel model, they will also be easy to find and give you rear disc brakes. Do some research The front axle after using coil springs is not sure if it can be retrofitted to the 2wd coils you have now.

Not a Ford, but a GM 6.2 diesel that I added to the Gail Banks Turbo. It has a lot of power then just look at the EGT gauge.

That is the RSK I am looking at. Skyjacker produces 6-inch forklifts for trucks these years. I will do 4 “front and 6” rear or 6 “front and rear and add 2” blocks.

I have already found two rear pickups and the wheels I will pick up this weekend hopefully ! I think from the front axle I will have to take the SRW truck and change the head.

I did enough research to know how to tweak 6.9 to my favorite power. Depending on what is wrong today will affect me in one way or another.

I will receive a transfer case and a referral together. I just thought that if I decided to go with 38-inch military tires, the 6-speed would do better with the extra weight.

I know this one has 5-inch wheels and 37-inch tires. For me, it takes a higher lift or smaller tires.

Online said this is a 4 “and 35” lift, but it looks higher than my retreat below with 4 “and now 33” lifts because I got a good deal for them.
