2013 Chevy Black Widow Ideal

2013 Chevy Black Widow Ideal – If you’re looking for a factory-maintained off-road truck with a lift kit and other upgrades, you can go right out and buy a new Chevy Silverado 1500 Trail Boss or GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. Most people will find that these trucks offer plenty of options, but for those who want more, there are options.

One of the easiest ways to add more ground clearance to your new pickup is to choose a Black Widow kit from SCA Performance. The company sells off-the-shelf trucks with upgrade kits already installed at several Chevrolet and GMC dealers nationwide.

The list of upgrades is impressive and includes components for the truck’s suspension system, wheels and tires, exhaust and appearance. While the powertrain is left untouched, the exhaust system and suspension receive significant upgrades. The stock kit comes with a suspension lift and Fox shocks, and the included Black Widow exhaust features a custom muffler and tips for a deeper sound.

On the inside, the new trucks get painted interior trim and custom interior touches. SCA can upgrade the truck to premium stitched leather and other options for an additional fee. The rest of the interior remains stock, so the options the truck left the factory with are in place. A local dealer has an ad for a 2021 Silverado Black Widow. It’s an RST model that’s been upgraded with SCA Stitched Leather, but also sports a factory sunroof and Bose Premium Stereo from the factory. All this and the truck retains a full three-year/36,000-mile warranty.

How much does all this cost? Quite a bit, as it turns out. A Silverado 1500 RST with the Black Widow package and a few added optional extras costs almost $80,000 before local and dealer incentives are taken into account. The SCA conversion added $21,845 to the truck’s base price, but it’s important to remember that you might not be able to build a truck of the same level for the same money. Beyond that, there’s a good chance that doing the job yourself through the aftermarket will void your warranty. Car customization is sacred. It allows owners to create something truly unique and noteworthy. Some buyers will want to upgrade their trucks themselves, but there are options for those who prefer to buy something that has been upgraded before they get the keys. We’ve covered custom trucks before, and they’re always a joy to share.

Dealer-approved upgrades are the subject of a recent video posted on YouTube by Mike Davenport (aka “Chevy Dude”). Davenport shares his excitement with onlookers about the SCA Silverado Black Widow. This is undeniably a great looking Silverado, but is it worth the $18,000 price tag?

Davenport is a marketer who uses his channel to advertise vehicles that he can then sell to his viewers. There’s nothing wrong with that, and thankfully he’s pretty open about what he does. That being said, he’s motivated to advertise his lot inventory, and that’s exactly what he does throughout the video. “This truck is made by SCA Performance, and although I usually tell people to beware of these stickers because these stickers are a scam, [but] this is the one exception,” says Davenport. We’ll have to keep an eye on his channel to see if he makes further exceptions. And to be fair, the truck looks pretty creepy.

In terms of looks, SCA has hit the ground running with the Black Widow package. The company puts a 6-inch lift kit on the trucks and 36-inch BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires on its own rims. The alloys look just as great as the leather seats you see in the photo above, which is actually an option on the Black Widow trucks. Presumably the Davenport dealership thought it was worth paying for them. He certainly thinks so. “I think it’s a little bit better than leather coming from the factory,” says Davenport.

“This truck is made by SCA Performance and although I usually tell people to beware of these decals as they are a scam, [but] this is the one exception.”

The interior gets other upgrades as well. SCA installed LED floodlights for puddles that activate when you open the front driver and passenger doors. All the backlit gauges have been changed to red, and the driver’s cabin also gets its own custom setup, which might be the best cosmetic upgrade in the package.

Davenport made sure to catch the non-spider-themed upgrades as well. The lift kit gets good coverage, and he places the camera right next to the SCA’s exhaust while the Chevy Silverado is running so viewers can listen to the sweet chatter the truck makes at idle.

Chevy Silverado 1500 Vs. Ram 1500: Battle Of The Redesigns

At the end of the video, Davenport shows us a breakdown of the truck’s prices. He keeps nothing obscure.

“We always post our best and lowest price on our website,” he says in the clip. Besides the factory rebate and incentives, Davenport’s dealer lists the Black Widow package at $18,000. That’s a pretty high number for what you get, but as Davenport demonstrates, the quality of the upgrades is top notch. Bachman Chevrolet is also expecting quite a bit of money for this particular truck. Without the Black Widow package, the dealer shaved about $3,000 off the MSRP. With incentives, the discounts total around $10,000, which coincidentally matches their “Outdoor Event Price.” Basically, they only take about $3,000 off the total price of the truck, even when the Black Widow package is added.

That being said, Davenport is honest about the Silverado’s incentives. He rightly points out the typical dealer trick of posting discounts that no customer could possibly qualify for. We’d go a step further and commend Bachman Chevrolet for talking about the price of the truck at all. Some dealerships will refuse to even discuss the price of the car until they meet a prospective customer face-to-face. This is an old school tactic that is unfortunately still in practice today. Davenport’s price may be a little high, but honesty is always refreshing, and sometimes it’s worth paying a little extra to avoid intense haggling. As for the Black Widow pack, it’s worth checking out the video to see all the goodies that come with it.
