2016 Chevy Reaper For Sale – Red Sox-Yankees or Packers-Vikings (or the Patriots and all the others) might come to mind when we think of the biggest rivalries, but those are small potatoes compared to the feud between Ford and Chevy owners. Each owner is very loyal to their brand and is more than happy to talk about the other guys product.
Back in 2014, when this Chevy Reaper was in production, the Ford Raptor was temporarily discontinued, so Chevy had an opportunity to upgrade the Ford, and they took it. Come to the brand new 2014. Chevrolet Silverado Reaper. Although in 2017 you can get one of the distribution points, 2014 The Reaper was a modified Silverado 1500, which was actually a joint venture between GM, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, and custom builder Southern Comfort, or SCA Performance.

Lingenfelter has long been known for big horsepower, and thanks to them, the Reaper now has a Magnuson supercharger to pack the Silverado’s 6.2-liter V8 and boost output to 550 horsepower. Founded by John Lingenfelter and now run by his son Ken, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has been building fast vehicles for over 43 years and seems to have anything and everything you need to get every pony out of your engine. It was a no-brainer for GM to contact them because the two companies have a long history of working together.

SCA Performance of Trussville, AL has been building off-road trucks since 1979. and it doesn’t stop at Chevy. They’ll build just about anything you want, including Dodge trucks, Jeeps, and yes, even Fords. When you visit their website, you can see a guy with his dogs getting out of a pickup truck and getting ready to hunt. These guys know what it takes to get around the hills south of Mason-Dixon in style and comfort, but when it comes to suspension, the owner called on off-road race winners Baja Kits By Brenthel.
The truck was dumped in Anaheim, California in the Baja Kits. where most of the updates were done. The guys took the truck apart and then started working on the suspension. Baja Kits added their 4WD Long Travel Race kit which has built 4WD struts. The King is the usual choice for Brenthel and hence the Baja kits, so it uses King Shocks, one 3.0 Coil-Over and one 3.0 Bypass per side, along with a King Air Bump to would finish off that big shot smoothly.
A trick Baja Kits rear cantilever shock system controls the Currie Enterprises floating rear end. It uses King 3.0 triple shocks and King Air Bumps along with Deaver Springs leaf packs. The result is that the Chevy can now take full advantage of the Lingenfelter’s horsepower off-road.
That power is harnessed by 17-inch Method Race Wheels NV mounted on 37-inch Falken Wild Peak M/T tires.

Fiberwerx front fenders and beds provide space for those 37s. Each adds 5.5 inches of wheelbase, and a Fiberwerx Bumper Valance upgrade was also used. When the glass was covered, a beautiful satin black finish was applied.
It uses an ADD Dimple R rear bumper that incorporates Rigid D series lights. As for Rigid Industries, a 40-inch E-Series LED light bar runs across the top of the windshield to light the way.
The bed now features a decked in-vehicle storage system. In addition to the two 48-inch drawers that hold tons of stuff, one of the many nice things about it is that it spans the entire bed area. It’s also tough enough to carry 2,000 pounds, so there’s little compromise between storage and strength.
The interior also has a lot of nice things. It’s bony, but the seats are well-bolstered, but the interior is about as well-distributed as 2014 could be. In a Chevy truck. The comfort level is high, if not the off-road ability.
