2019 Chevy 2500 Black Widow Recommended – 2019 Chevy Silverado RST Gets $18,000 Spider Makeover, Costs $71,000 Act fast and you can get it for $61,000.

We all know pickup trucks are expensive these days. In fact, you can enter the world of full-size pickup trucks in the US for a fairly reasonable amount if you’re okay with driving a base vehicle with only modest power and few features. But start checking the option boxes and costs skyrocket faster than a SpaceX launch. Add a custom build like what you’ll find on this new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST and it comes in at $70,000

Technically speaking, the total price for this facelifted Silverado is $70,936, as listed at Bachman Chevrolet, the Louisville, Kentucky dealer selling this monster. The video tour is courtesy of the Chevy Dude on YouTube, and those familiar with custom Silverados will recognize this as one of SCA Performance’s Black Widow builds. The truck starts life as an already bloated Silverado RST with a base price of $47,490, but the Black Widow conversion doesn’t skimp on the details.

In addition to large fender flares, custom nerf bars, and a sinister Black Widow badge, the truck features a six-inch suspension lift with custom wheels and large off-road tires. The red brake caliper covers shine through the wheels and the faux vents add a little flair to the hood. Inside, the truck gets a custom leather interior with more Black Widow branding, red interior lights, and an admittedly cool Black Widow spider projector that lights up the ground when you open the driver or passenger side doors.

According to Bachman Chevrolet, the upfit adds $18,046 to the final price, bringing the total to the aforementioned $70,936. However, the seller is also listing an “Open House Price” of $61,071, which honestly doesn’t sound too bad considering how badass this truck is. And it’s not like this is the most expensive Silverado you can get—the fully loaded High Country Crew Cab model with all-wheel drive is priced at $72,000 and doesn’t even come with spider badges.

Is $61,071 still too much for a new Chevy Silverado with a lift kit and tires, or would you throw it in the garage without a second thought? Let us know what you think. Today’s trucks fill a myriad of roles for consumers. Some need the versatility of a truck for towing and hauling, while others want their truck to offer a luxurious ownership experience with high-quality leather and the latest technology. So it’s no surprise that customers can buy expensive trucks that require luxury car money. The 2019 Chevy Silverado in the video above, which has nearly $32,000 worth of upgrades, is the latest example of how easy it is to add a new car’s worth of accessories to a truck.

The Chevy truck started life as a 50,295 LTZ, but how did the final price get to $82,096? The 6.2-liter V8 under the hood added $2,495. It has a $550 Z71 package that adds Rancho shocks and skid plates, while a spray-on bed liner was $545. The Silverado also received the LTZ Premium Package, which included an on and off tailgate, navigation and more.

The price really skyrockets with aftermarket upgrades—nearly $21,000 for the goodies. This includes a 6-inch lift, BF Goodrich off-road tires, Black Widow rims, and tinted glass. The two-tone look isn’t veiled – it’s painted that way. Other upgrades include running boards between the wheels, black exhaust tips and new mufflers.

Inside, the Black Widow logo is embroidered on the headrests. The logo is also used as puddle lamps. The car has heated and ventilated seats, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel and a sunroof. Aftermarket upgrades include gloss black painted interior trim on the doors and center console, and red LED footwell lighting.

Are all these upgrades necessary? Of course not. Then again, justifying a $50,000 truck as a necessity would be a stretch for most people. But that’s not the point. Trucks have a robust aftermarket scene that allows owners to customize their rides in any way they want. And that is quite apt.
