2020 Ford F450 Dually Lifted – Daily Slideshow: High end bagged and lifted Super Dutys are all the rage these days. Mainly because they can do everything quite simply!
In the old days, trucks were only expected to do one thing. And that one thing was work. But today we want our trucks to do it all. That means hauling crazy loads, traversing all terrain and taking the whole family to the movies. All in supreme comfort. Fortunately, Ford has our back with the incredibly capable lineup of Super Duty trucks. But if you want to take these already amazing machines to the next level, it only takes a few modifications to create a real head turner.

Lifted and bagged luxury trucks are all the rage, and for good reason. Just call a shop like Scofield Performance in Florida, tell them what you want, and they’ll turn your ride into something truly special with nothing more than a handful of bolts.

But when owner Jeff Scofield wanted to build a truck for his father Danny, he knew it had to be equal parts usable and good-looking. Because his dad didn’t just need a truck to drive around, he also needed something to pull his racer with no problem.
When Scofield saw this 2017 Ford F-450 sitting on a local dealer, he immediately knew it was the perfect candidate for his next build. Already perfectly capable of driving in his own right, he didn’t mess with some of the truck’s strong mechanics. Instead, he improved the look of the Shadow Black ride by painting all of the plastic trim to match.
Scofield also added Bullseye Reto lighting all around for better looks and visibility. Those little touches made a world of difference in the way the rig looks right off the bat.
Next, Scofield turned his attention to attitude. Knowing that this truck would have to retain its ability to haul a gooseneck trailer, the obvious choice was air suspension. Scofield settled on a pretty nice setup that consists of aKelderman 5-6 inch Air Suspension Package and AccuAir e-Level Air Management Package.

With the truck sitting right, it was time to choose the perfect set of rolling stock to top it all off. Since the rest of the truck was already blacked out, it only made sense to go with a set of similarly dark wheels. So Scofield chose 22×8.25″ forged aluminum American Force Baus wheels.
The aggressive looking wheels are wrapped in equally aggressive 37-inch, 13.50R22 Toyo Open Country M/T tires for a match made in heaven. For now, the perfect all-round build is complete, but some performance modifications may be coming in the future. Watch Ken Block Make Drifting Ford F-450 Dually Pickup Look Easy There’s an attempt to drag his Escort while doing a burnout, too.
Generally, if you see a Ford F-450 double pickup skidding, then something very bad is going on, but not this time. Ken Block takes his satin black truck neck to an empty Utah Motorsports Campus. You may know the huge piece of asphalt to drift there from his latest video where Block teaches his 13-year-old daughter how to slide a car.
The plan to start is to haul Block’s Gymkhana Ford Escort to the track and do burnouts on the trailer while the F-450 pulls it. That idea quickly dies when another member of the Hoonigan crew gets behind the wheel and promptly breaks both axle half shafts. The motor cannot turn the wheels if the power cannot reach them.

Block unhooks the trailer and starts running out. Then, he starts drifting the big pickup truck. From the outside view, he makes it look easy, but the in-cabin camera shows Block gritting his teeth.
He says during the interview after sliding around that drifting the F-450 is actually difficult. The power response of the diesel engine makes modulating the throttle a challenge, making holding a slide a challenge. Block is experienced, though, and manages to figure things out. The result is a very funny video.
If you’re looking for the next installment in the Gymkhana series, filming for it starts later in the year. However, Block will not be behind the wheel this time. Instead, Travis Pastrana will take over driving for Subaru. Block probably won’t be able to stay away from the series that really launched his stardom for too long. Fabtech’s 6″ Radius Arm lift kit for the Ford F450 and F550 Super Duty is built to handle the on and off road demands of the truck enthusiast. This vehicle’s suspension is stronger than the Ford F250 and F350 and therefore requires special parts only available from Fabtech.
This Radius Arm system is a complete upgrade to the factory suspension and will provide additional strength for use with oversized tires. The design has been proven in over 10 years of service in consumer, commercial and military applications. High quality components with properly designed suspension geometry is what sets this system apart from all other Radius Arm suspensions.

Each Fabtech component has been designed with specific features and benefits that create this quality suspension system. To better understand each of these components, see below.
Tubular construction with dimpled die side plate for superior strength. Arms are offset to allow full turning radius of the Danish Super 60 front axle with wide tires. Fabtech Radius Arms have 1 degree of projectile built in for the increased ride height. Adjustable alignment cams on the Arms allow for an additional 1.5-2 degrees of adjustment.
Coil springs have been designed for a very compliant ride quality both on and off road. Each coil is preset during the manufacturing process to ensure that no ride height settles over time. Allows for a 2″ increase in wheel travel over stock when used with Fabtech shock absorbers.
A 1/4″ thick steel bracket repositions the factory tie rod to center the axle under the vehicle with the increased lift height. A super strong box style bracket is designed to eliminate deflection as the tie rod moves through its full cycle.

Forged steel construction with high strength material that exceeds factory specifications. Designed specifically for the F450 and F550 to work in conjunction with the factory tow link and Fabtech’s Track Bar bracket for proper steering functionality.
Heavy duty 1/4″ thick steel clamps control the travel by eliminating over cycling of the suspension. Super strong construction can handle the full compression impact of the F450 or F550.
1/4″ thick steel dropper brackets reposition the front sway bar for the increased ride height. This allows the sway bars to fully cycle without binding through the extended travel range.
Repositions the factory brake lines down on the frame for the new travel range without having to open the brake system. Keeps factory fluid system intact.

Retains the factory F450 or F550 long-travel steering stabilizer with 1/4″ thick steel bracket and support bracket to help reduce tire inflation.
Steel rear lift blocks replace the factory blocks for additional lift without changing the ride quality or load carrying capacity.
U-Bolts designed to attach the entire rear differential to the vehicle. A critical part that requires the best quality for your vehicle.
Fabtech Performance Shocks have been designed to work in conjunction with each of our suspension systems, resulting in superior ride control. Features include a high speed 9-stage valve for excellent damping capabilities and a closed cell insert to reduce shock fade at high speeds.
