2022 Chevy Reaper Road Performance – The upcoming 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 is ready for more drastic upgrades. However, we are not talking about the complete redesign. Instead, Silverado pick-up arrives with mid-cycle refreshments. It still includes some dramatic changes. The Silverado 1500 is one of the most reliable pickup trucks in its segment. As before, the rivalry continues with the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. Every year these models get additional updates and the 2022MY is no different.
And while all three models are competitive, it looks like the Silverado is losing the battle. Regardless, both Ram and Ford offer much better high-performance variants. Still, Silverado continues with the updates. Sales will begin in the second half of 2021. This is everything you need to know about the upcoming Silverado.

The new 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 gets additional exterior updates. The spy shots are already available and we have seen some of the updates. For starters, the new Silverado will get a redesigned front fascia. Moreover, even the rear section is slightly different. Chevrolet will provide new wheels for some trim levels, and we also expect to see new exterior colors.

Still, some exterior refreshments are perfectly hidden under the heavy camouflage. New tailgate is a rumour, but it has not been confirmed yet. In any case, the front end will now host new daytime running lights and a two-stage lighting setup. Chevrolet will reveal more details in the coming weeks.
The upcoming 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will introduce an all-new interior design. The changes are significant, and the new cabin will resemble the interior of the new GMC Sierra pickup. First of all, the Silverado model will introduce a revised dashboard and a redesigned center stack. Larger touchscreens are also available, both standard and optional units.
The center console is also new, and the Silverado comes with a new gauge cluster with the digital display. The column shifter is gone and a new gear selector is in place. According to Chevrolet, the Silverado will deliver unique storage features and a larger sunroof. Finally, the famous pickup truck will introduce more standard features and new optional safety aids.
New 2022 Chevy Silverado does not change its engine lineup. A 5.3-litre V8 petrol engine is again standard. This familiar engine produces 355 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. 6.2-litre petrol is optional. This larger powertrain option generates 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Finally, a 3.0-liter diesel is another optional powertrain. The diesel engine develops 277 hp and a torque of up to 460 lb-ft. A hybrid powertrain isn’t official yet, but it could happen. The Silverado will definitely introduce some form of electrification. As you know, the Ford F-150 comes with the hybrid powertrain, and even the all-electric variant is coming to the markets.
The all-new 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will now cost $33,500. Sales begin later this summer, and Chevrolet will once again offer eight trim levels. The Silverado received some significant updates and we can’t wait to see it on the road.” Examine your values and understand that you have to choose one side or the other. 20 inch wheels with 33s? Where’s the rubber? It sounds like they couldn’t decide if they were after street or off road.

I have heard conflicting reports on this. I saw on jalopnik that they were talking about 20’s but what he posted here says 17″ beadlock.
These trucks are hard to fit 35’s on because of the lousy fender opening shape…tall but square front and rear. Clearing a 35″ tire requires 5″ to 6″ lift if you keep the factory plate intact. This is a supercharged street truck with a 33″ “offroad” tire and some Fox shocks. Some magazine outlets call it a Raptor Killer… that’s just stupid. While the GM Reaper might be faster on pavement, it will suck Raptor dust off-road.
My voice is most likely disco, but assuming this thing is real and goes into production, I think the price will be interesting. There is definitely a market for the “disco”, if Chevy can make this thing and knock some costs off the Raptor, they might do ok in the sales market.
Chevrolet does NOT stand behind this truck like Ford and the Raptor. Price doesn’t matter because GM won’t back it with a factory warranty like Ford does. This was built as a collaboration between Lingenfelter and Southern Comfort.
Chevrolet Silverado Reaper: Raptor Harvester
Southern Comfort is a conversion van builder – they make vans with curtains, carpeted walls and crazy stripe paint. Ligenfelter is the real deal, but I have my doubts about the rest.
Betray! I’m sure it will find its way to market, but I wouldn’t expect them to sell a few.
I’ve been a Chevy guy since I was born and the 2014s are nice looking trucks, but man they really ruined the look of the truck with the silly grill and hood. The performance sounds good though.
“The suspension has been lifted three inches above stock and fitted with Fox remote reservoir shocks that provide 9.2 inches of wheel travel in the front, 11.2 inches in the rear.

The exact price has not been revealed, but should run between $50,000 and $60,000, depending on options. It will go on sale in March through selected Chevrolet dealers.”
2″ less front travel and 1″ less rear travel than the Raptor. No front camera. No factory support or warranty. No special programming for off-road driving characteristics. Less ground clearance with 2″ smaller tires. No internal bypass on the shocks for the same money as the Raptor. I love the new Chevy trucks but this thing is a mistake. Chevy has always been known for experimenting and the 2022 Chevy Reaper is the latest example. With a sporty look aimed at off-road truck fans who also want to drive in style, the Chevy Reaper aims to be the best of both worlds. Chevy intends the Reaper to be a pickup truck that rivals Ford Raptor, but does this dirt road darling have what it takes?
Right now, many of the Chevy Reaper’s specific details are unknown. The truck has not yet been released to dealers and is still under development. But still – the speculation is based on the 2021 model, which was an impressive pickup to say the least.
According to FourXFourCars, we might expect the Chevy Reaper to have an updated version of its 5.3-liter V8 capable of producing up to 550 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque. The Chevy Reaper’s engine may be mated to the same six-speed automatic transmission from the 2021 model, and drivers should expect a 0-60 time of around 5.0 seconds.

The interior of the Chevy Reaper will likely be similar to the 2022 Silverado High Country, give or take a few small features. With 5 passenger seats in the 4-door version, there is certainly plenty of room for passengers to feel comfortable. However, Chevy trails both Ford and especially Ram in terms of interior quality and equipment levels.
If Chevy takes the time to offer higher-quality leather, infotainment screens, and more accommodating, comfortable seats, the Reaper could steal some of the performance truck market’s attention away from the Ford Raptor.
Whether you like trucks or not, the 2021 Chevy Reaper is a beautiful beast. Expect much of the same design choices for the 2022 model, including a Corsa exhaust system (probably true dual exhaust), Fox Racing suspension, heavy-duty skid plates and chunky off-road tires on flashy 20-inch rims.
For all these perks, expect to pay somewhere north of $60,000 for a 2022 Reaper. Don’t forget to factor in potential packages or add-ons you might want, including a towing package, satellite radio, special driver assistance technology – and of course your destination charge.
