Black Widow Chevy Truck Interior Superior

Black Widow Chevy Truck Interior Superior – What began as a pre-show get together has become a fully sanctioned event in its own right. 10 years ago Dino Battilana invited some Chevy truck enthusiasts to his place in the Phoenix area to hang out before a local Goodguys show. Also, word of this pre-show meeting spread and the little hangout grew into a mini show. Every year we’ve attended Dinos Get Down, we’ve seen more and more rides in attendance.

As the years went by, this free program began to gain some notoriety as people traveled across the country. It was so big that Dino decided to move the party from his appliance store to the parking lot of the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, AZ. As this year is the 10-year anniversary of Git Down, it is now held over two full days (November 13 and 14) and the venue space has been increased.

2020 has proven to be a very challenging year for events and Git Down has seen some changes. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, Dino requires everyone in attendance to wear a mask. There were open spaces to avoid large gatherings and there were also stations with hand sanitizer dispensers. Despite the new protocols, thousands turned out to make this one of the best truck events of the year. Even better, some fresh debuts along with some trucks we’ve never seen before made for an unforgettable weekend.

This stunning truck came to life when Jeff and his son decided to build something they could be proud of. Every inch of this truck has been redone to include a beautifully finished body and leather-trimmed interior. It’s powered by a 406ci small block engine that spins Nitto NT555 G2 tires with ease.

Not overdone, this sleek truck has all the right pieces to make the perfect cruiser. Starting from the ground up, a roadster shop coil-over chassis was fitted for a superior ride that could handle modern power. Speaking of performance, this truck has a 5.3L LS engine that gets it down the road fast. The exterior is finished in a contrasting metallic blue with 20-inch US wheel smoothies and Nitto NT555 G2 tires.

Patina trucks with their rusted bodies have been a big hit with the crowd over the past few years, and this ’58 is a perfect example. With front and rear GSI suspension units, this airbagged truck lays flat on the ground to shock everyone. It comes complete with LSX 454 under the hood and leather covered bench seat. The only thing missing is color but we dig it.

Although this truck build is 15 years old, it still holds its own today. It was originally owned by Travis Noake, a magazine editor who was assisted by the talented folks at Hill’s Hot Rods. It is completely slick inside and out. The fire red body sits low with an airbagged chassis to tuck in 20 and 22-inch billet wheels shod with Nitto NT555 tires. It was recently purchased by Fester Adams and he has kept it in such good condition that it appears to have just been finished.

Built by Big Willys Garage, this classic Chevy is like no other. It has some familiar components like the 468ci big block engine and air ride that bring it up to today’s standards. The exterior is well crafted with a one piece front clip with a splitter under the bumper and heart fab inner fenders. The rear has been redesigned to have an integrated spoiler and a custom diffuser at the bottom. Painted in House of Color Limetime Green, he was aptly named “The Grinch”.

Dino is not only a kickass party but also a huge fan of Chevy vehicles. They had a multitude of cars and trucks on display but this one really caught our eye. When he bought this truck, it was infested with black widow spiders, hence the name. The truck is laid out and has an LS3 engine with an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger to make it an absolute bullet on the road.

As the owner of a suspension company called Pro Performance, Travis was looking to build a vehicle that would carry the family and showcase his parts. In order to get faster performances, Travis replaced the 6.0L LS engine and boosted it with a turbo. The mildly bagged stance showcases 20-inch billet wheels shod with Nitto NT555 G2 tires.

As the owner of Iconi Paintworks, Frank is always out to make waves with his paint skills. As you can see it has an unusual color scheme that really stands out from the rest and many will either love it or hate it. It also has a set of 22 and 24-inch billet wheels and is powered by a big-block Chevy engine. At the rear is a custom trunk with a remote-controlled lid.

Starting with a farm truck from Idaho, Jeff of Nostalgia Hot Rods had his work cut out by spending many hours rebuilding this truck for many custom touches. We like that the exhaust exits from the side of the fenders for the 434ci small block. We also totally dig the custom interior and the eye-catching purple and silver paintjob. This truck really stood out from the crowd of C10’s at the show.

Premier Street Rod is a familiar name to us, and Danny has been seeking his help for some time. This time around, this ’56 Chevy was built completely from scratch with their replacement cab and sheet metal kit. It sits on a TCI Engineering chassis and sports a muted blue paintjob. It also has Budnick billet wheels and Nitto Invo tires. Giving it a race-inspired look are several body mods that make it look faster. The truck was originally scheduled to debut at the SEMA show but with it being canceled this year, the truck was unveiled for the first time at Dinos.

Although the Git Down is primarily a Chevy event, the Dino does offer a few select trucks each year. This time, Warren’s second truck was allowed and it was the talk of the town. Built out of Big Willie’s Garage, the truck features body mods like custom side trim, heat extractors on the hood, and heavily modified tucked bumpers. Everything on the truck is custom fitted, and the supercharged Coyote engine lets everyone know what it means. This is another example of the awesomeness that finds its way to this special event. Car customization is sacred. This allows the owner to create something truly unique and worthy of attention. Some buyers prefer to upgrade their trucks themselves, but there are options available for those looking to purchase something upgraded before getting the keys. We’ve covered customized trucks in the past, and they’re always a treat to share.

Dealer approved upgrades are the subject of a recent video posted by Mike Davenport (aka “Chevy Dude”) on YouTube. Davenport shares his passion with viewers on the SCA Silverado Black Widow. It’s an unquestionably good-looking Silverado, but is it worth the $18,000 price tag?

Davenport is a marketer who can sell his channel to his viewers to promote vehicles. There’s nothing wrong with that, and luckily he’s pretty upfront about what he’s doing. That being said, he’s motivated to hype the stock on his lot, and that’s exactly what he does throughout the video. “This truck is made by SCA Performance, and I usually tell people to beware of these stickers because they’re ripoffs, [but] this is an exception,” says Davenport. We will have to keep an eye on their channel to see if they make further exceptions. And to be fair, the truck looks pretty badass.

As far as looks go, SCA hit a homerun with the Black Widow package. The company puts a six-inch lift kit on the trucks and 36-inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires on their own rims. The alloys look great, as do the leather seats you see in the picture above, which are actually an option on Black Widow trucks. Presumably, Davenport’s dealership thought they were worth paying. He certainly thinks so. “I think it’s a little better than the leather that comes from the factory,” says Davenport.

‘This truck is made by SCA Performance, and I usually tell people to beware of these stickers, because they are a ripoff, [but] this is an exception.

The interior gets other updates as well. SCA installs LED projector puddle lights that activate when you open the front driver and passenger side doors. All the backlit gauges are changed to red and the driver’s cockpit gets its own
