“The capability of Chevy trucks has always enabled customers to go where they want to go and that inspiration is the foundation for these exciting concept vehicles,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing. “They prove what’s possible through personalization, inspiration and the assurance of the industry’s most reliable, longest-lasting full-size trucks.”
The Realtree Bone Collector concept is based on the Silverado 1500 High Country Crew Cab with 4WD, which features a bold new front-end design for 2016 along with new technologies such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. It carries larger, aggressive off-road tires, mounted on black Chevrolet Accessories 22-inch black aluminum wheels, and incorporates Chevrolet Accessories’ new off-road package, which includes a front push bar, assist steps and sports bar.
Additionally, an LED off-road light bar available from Chevrolet Accessories is mounted to the sports bar to help illuminate the trail at night. There’s also a unique drawer system in the cargo bed for safe, secure stowage of outdoor gear, and a cooler mounted just behind the cab.
An eye-catching camo theme complements the Realtree Bone Collector Green graphics, which incorporates Michael Waddell’s signature. The color extends to the six-piston disc brake calipers, part of a concept upgrade package from Chevrolet Performance that also includes 16.1-inch-diameter (410 mm) disc rotors. The green theme extends to tie-down rings and bungee cords in the bed, used to secure camping gear.

“The Silverado Concept is the perfect outdoor lifestyle vehicle, offering the ability to take you deep into the woods and mountains, with the specialty gear to make those excursions more successful,” said Waddell. “The Realtree camo graphics really set it apart, too, adding functional personalization.”
Inside, the Silverado Realtree Bone Collector features a unique instrument cluster display with a Bone Collector green-tinted lens, matching stitching accents on the leather-trimmed bucket seats, steering wheel, console and more – including custom-embroidered front-seat headrests. The camo pattern carries over the interior trim components across the instrument panel, while Chevrolet Accessories floor liners protect the carpet beneath them.
Additional interior elements of Chevrolet accessories include Silverado-logo door sill plates, an ambient lighting package and an under-seat storage system.
Along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, the concept vehicle stays connected to the outside world via OnStar 4G LTE with a Wi-Fi hotspot.

And like all 2016 Silverado 1500 models, the Realtree Bone Collector concept brings the underlying strength of high-strength steel construction, while its powerful V-8 engine features a best-in-class 420 horsepower and is integral to its capability. The 6.2L V-8 enables up to a 12,000 pound max trailer rating, when properly equipped.
As with other concepts shown at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet will evaluate responses and opinions to the truck to help determine production possibilities for additional accessories, performance parts and even special-edition models.

The 2014 Chevrolet Cheyenne Silverado Concept
Leveraging the strength, versatility and personalization capabilities of the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Chevrolet teamed up with camo hunting gear company Realtree® and Michael Waddell – the star of Outdoor Channel’s The Bone Collector™ – to collaborate on the ultimate outdoor adventure vehicle. Think of the biggest rivalries, thoughts may go to Red Sox-Yankees or Packers-Vikings (or Patriots and everyone else), but they are small potatoes compared to the gap between Ford and Chevy owners. Each owner is fiercely loyal to their brand, and take great joy in talking trash about the other guys product.
Back in 2014, when the Chevy Ripper was built, the Ford Raptor was temporarily out of production, so Chevy had an opening to tweak Ford, and they took it. Enter the then all-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Reaper. Although in 2017 you can get one off the dealership floor, in 2014 the ripper was a modified Silverado 1500 that was actually a joint venture between GM, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and custom builder Southern Comfort or SCA Performance.
Lingenfelter is a name long known for big horsepower, and thanks to them, the Reaper now has a Magnuson supercharger to pack the Silverado’s 6.2-liter V8, raising production to 550 horses. Founded by John Lingenfelter and now run by his son Ken, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has been building fast vehicles for over 43 years and seemingly has anything and everything you need to get every pony out of your engine. GM contacting them was a no-brainer because the two companies have a long history of working together.
SCA Performance, of Trussville, AL, has been building off-road worthy trucks since 1979, and it doesn’t stop at Chevy. They will build just about anything you could want, including Dodge trucks, Jeeps, and yes, even Fords. When you go to their web page, you see a guy and his dogs getting out of a pickup and getting ready to hunt. These guys know what it takes to get around the hills south of the Mason-Dixon in style and comfort, but when it came to suspension, the owner called off-road racing winners Baja Kits by Brenthel.

The truck was dropped off at Baja Kits of Anaheim, CA. Where it did the majority of the upgrades. The guys disassembled the truck and then went to work on the suspension. Baja Kits added their 4WD Long Travel Race Kit, which includes their fabricated 4WD upright. King is Brenthel’s, and so Baja kits, usual shock of choice, so a pair of King shocks, one 3.0 coil-over and one 3.0 bypass, are used per side, along with a King air bump to smoothly finish the big hit.
The Trick Baja Kits’ raised cantilever shock system controls the Currie Enterprises’ floating rear end. It uses a pair of King 3.0 triple bypass shocks and King Air Bumps, along with Deaver Springs leaf packs. The result is now the Chevy can actually use all the Lingefelter horsepower when off-road.
Putting the power to the ground is done with 17-inch Method Race Wheels NVs that have been fitted with 37-inch Falken Wild Peak M/T tires.
Making room for the 37s are the Fiberwerx front fenders and fenders. They each add 5.5-inches of wheel space over stock, and the Fiberwerx Bumper Valance upgrade is also used. When the glass was on, a nice satin black surface was applied.
Chevy Colorado Redesign, Engine Options, Release Date
An ADD Dimple R rear bumper is used and it has rigid D-series lights directly mounted in it. Speaking of stern industries, a 40-inch E-series LED light bar stretches across the top of the windshield to light the way.
The bed now features a decked in-vehicle storage system. In addition to the twin 48-inch drawers holding a bunch of stuff, one of the many nice things about it is that it covers the entire bed area. It’s also tough enough to have 2000 lbs piled on top of it, so there’s little trade off between storage and strength.
There are also many nice things about the interior. It’s bone stock, but the seats are well bolstered, but the interior is about as good as a 2014 Chevy truck can get. Comfort level is high, if not the off-road ability.
When the owner of this ripper, one Tom Benavides, goes for a drive, he does so knowing that his Chevy has the power, suspension and capabilities to mow down anything the trail puts in its way. For your all around or off-road needs! With the 550 horsepower, Magnuson TVS1900 supercharged 6.2L V8 engine lays in wait under the custom hood and behind the custom off-road bumper with integrated 10″ Trail Industries LED light bars and LED fog lights. These are not production trucks but instead they There were special orders and a combination effort between GM, Lingenfelter Performance and Southern Comfort Automotive and this one is #0012. Along with the many other performance and appearance upgrades comes the repair decal package, fender flares front and rear with integrated LED lights and Fox 3.0 Factory Series shocks give the trucks a significant improvement in suspension travel to a massive 9.2″ in the front and 11.2″ in the rear under the 3″ lift. All this riding on 20″ Ripper rims and Toyo Open Country rubber.
