Lifted 4th Gen Cummins Dually – I got tired of my truck eating the front tires for breakfast and went with the 19.5 commercial tires.

I’m going to start cleaning things up on it this winter, cruise doesn’t work, will tow it, see if there is a tuner that will adjust the shift points while in tow mode. this is a 30 foot gooseneck cover and unloaded that the pickup truck doesn’t even know is there. So I’ll be back with lots of questions I’m sure… For the rest, this is an unstyled early A, it won’t be a survivor, but it’ll be a good wobbler for the kids and a model. 70 behind it, on the bottom is a powershift 4020 that fell off the trailer loading it HAHAHA Click to expand…

What’s a 4020 power shift there, can’t touch a decent one for under 15 grand around here.
Ram 3500 Dually On 37’s!
My zone, around 6-9, more if very clean. That tractor was part of a package I got, 2 Gs (1 GM and 1 53 G) and an early standard 4010 and 4020. The 4010 was converted to a puller, used an 8820 combination engine, I just don’t get it. until the 4020 it was still a 24 volt tractor it has these 800lb internal weights so who knows if the powershift will still hold and the bar has like 3 breaks lol
There are no open cam fields here in NC. Getting ready anyway. We had bookings for 4 NC festivals through early June. All canceled by our idiot Governor Cooper.
Here is my 2012 ready to hit the track tomorrow. Sorry they’re dirty, it’s been raining all weekend.
So I parted with my 1st gen custom cab I built and upgraded it to a 12 with 43k miles and every option imaginable.

When other guys sink a lot of money into their trucks they don’t usually get it back so I hope you got a good deal, not asking what you paid, just a comment.
2018 G56 27K miles. New to the forum. Flying to Chattanooga this morning to pick her up. I haven’t been this excited about a truck delivery since my first purchase at age 21.

I’m thinking of going with a leveling kit on my new dual. I just can’t stand the front end being so low. Later on I’ll go with some kind of air bag system to level the rear end when you pull a fifth wheel. I had one in my 06 Mega Cab.
I am currently running a 2″ Hell Bent Steel leveling kit on my 2010. The price is right and good quality. I should have gone with the 2.5″ full truck level, but I think the 2 ” shows some immersion.
I’m running the stock size Rancho 5000 series in the front. Think 2″ was $60, I also got the sway bar end link and bushing upgrades.

What size tires are you running with the 2′ leveling kit and did you have to add a spacer on the back? My local shop mentioned that the steel kits made excessive noise and I should look at Daystar, any experience with this leveling kit?
There should be no difference in noise. Still keep the rubber insulators on top of the coils. I recommend spending a few minutes with a socket and tape measure on flat ground. Most people find 2″ to be about right, but you may prefer 1″ or 3″. They come in almost any size from 1″ to 4″ in 1/2″ increments. Be sure to measure the height change at the center of the fender (in line with the coil spring perches) because this is where the height is added. Hell Bent Steel (HBS) is a popular choice, and is what I have, but they all seem to be more or less the same. Longer shocks aren’t necessary with just a 2in kit, but if you really want to do it “right” (which is always a matter of opinion!), then longer shocks and stiffened bar links and a bar adjustable track well, just like the lower control arms! But this is a pretty expensive leveling kit once you do!

Thanks, yes I’m only looking at about 22 and painting the mirrors and handles here soon
I’m thinking of doing a bit of the same as yours with mine as far as the bed liner on the rockers and such and doing bumpers but a different style bumper and going down to 35’s but keeping my 22’s.

Thank you, I am very proud of this. I can’t decide what to do with the front. Or I’ll slap a full border replacement on the front. Or the paint matches my bumper and silver grill housing. Next, make a large black wire mesh grid insert. I can’t decide!
